About Woods & Water Taxidermy
The Woods and Water Story
Woods and Water is a family-owned Taxidermy. We have over 30 years’ experience in field and hunting worldwide. This knowledge and experience enable us to understand each animals’ habitat and anatomy. This experience is visible through our attention to detail, quality craftsmanship and finished products. From pose, to scene, to expression, your finished mount will be the best representation of the animal’s natural strength and beauty GUARANTEED.
Rowdy Woodson, founder, and president started Woods and Water in 1996. His passion and love of hunting and fishing gave way to a dream; his goal was simple, preserve the animal in a way that captures the memory of the hunt. Being a master of taxidermy is not something that you learn overnight. After gaining years of experience, Rowdy decided to take his love for the art of Taxidermy and try his hand at his own business and thus, Woods and Water Taxidermy was born. Whether it be his love for hunting and preserving these beautiful animals, you can guarantee that Rowdy’s dedication to produce Realism with Pride is evident in every one his projects.
For us, it’s more than taxidermy. It’s the challenge to create the most realistic replica in a manner that enables our clients to share their story over and over.
Each year, Woods and Water receives over 200 safaris, 250 whitetails and 300 North American & Exotic animals per year.
